Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree — The SM City Marikina Way
The mall has unveiled its Rockin’ Holidays centerpiece, bringing festive cheer to everyone who visits. Standing an impressive 35 feet tall, the Christmas tree shines with red and gold ornaments, glowing LED lights, and a big red bow on top. Adding to the fun are massive red Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling and a larger-than-life Santa sporting stylish shades.
The celebration began with a breathtaking violin performance by Michaela Torres, followed by lively song and dance numbers from ADHIKA of St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina, and the Madison Performers, who delighted the crowd with The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The excitement reached its peak when Santa made his grand entrance, spreading joy all around.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony on October 24 was attended by Marikina City Mayor Marjorie Ann “Maan” Teodoro, Congressman Marcy Teodoro, and members of the Marikina City Council. Students from St. Scholastica’s Marikina also joined the celebration, filling the event with youthful energy. Representing SM Supermalls were Ronald Allan Brosas, Don Edward Vijandre, Ma-ann Hipol, Khristine Lenon, and Francis Brian Cruz.
Hosted by Janeena Chan, the night was filled with music, laughter, and the unmistakable warmth of the holiday season, officially marking the start of The Rockin’ Holidays at SM City Marikina.
To make the celebration even more meaningful, SM also launched its Besties of Joy campaign. For every two bunnies purchased, one will be donated to a local nonprofit organization, spreading kindness and joy this Christmas.
