Casa Alegria- Home away from the Metro

I was invited by Ms. Grace from TAG media last Friday to join the bloggers getaway at Casa Alegria. I have been to Tagaytay numerous times and this was my first time to stay at this place.

What is Casa Alegria?

Casa Alegria is a Bed and Breakfast hotel Located along Ligaya Drive in Sungay North Tagaytay. This place offers a phenomenal view of Taal volcano. It offers luxury and  comfort which is ideal for families, friends and events.

AMENITIES

When we arrived I was already in awe of how serene the place was.  The look of the place is very minimalistic with its black and white exterior plus the glass paneled windows added a nice touch to the structure. All of the rooms are air conditioned and has a view of Taal lake even if  some of them are still being renovated. IMG_2653[1] The pool offers an amazing view of Taal volcano. You can take a dip into the water while having the famous Tagaytay view as your back drop. Or if you don’t want to take a splash on the pool, you can also curl up with a good book or take a nap on the benches at the side of the pool. IMG_2658[1]

This Casa is ideal for family, barkada outings or even office events, as it offers an open dining area with KTV, a billiard pool or you can party the night away on their roof top area which can hold up to 100 people.

FOOD

The pasta that was served during breakfast was delicious. They took it up a notch on their menu the next day which was a serving of their scrumptious tapa and tawilis.

STAFF

The staff was very courteous and prompt while tending to all of our needs.  They will make you feel at home with their friendly demeanor and they will make you feel comfortable by going an extra mile to cater to your needs like waking up early to deliver our breakfast.

What I love about Casa Alegria

  • Even if this place has no wifi or the 3G connection is weak, it still gives you time to share the stunning view of the Taal volcano with your friends and family.

  • Casa Alegria gives you ample time to explore and appreciate on natures beauty as it has its own luscious garden.

  • It will only take 2 hours to  drive to this budget friendly place to unwind all your stress away.

Overall experience

The Casa Alegria experience was truly remarkable as I have not only meet a lot of new friends but also found another place that I would visit when I go back to Tagaytay. I feel honored to be given a chance to unleash my inner peace.

Such a beautiful place! That pasta looks delicious!! Looks like a fun place to visit.

  2. That view, wow! The water mini-pool looking over the mountains and more water in the lakes. It would be impossible to do anything there like work or rest because the entire time I would just be staring out into the nature. Glad you enjoyed it.

  3. This Bed and Breakfast seems so nice! From what I saw and read it really looks like a place to get away from the real world and have some time to yourself.

  4. HOLY. MOLY. That view!!! I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with infinity pools and I’ve always wanted to go on a vacation where there is an infinity pool so this post is making me seriously drool over here. I’m so jealous of your trip! I have a question though, as a layperson, how would you go about booking this trip from the US? I bet you had the greatest time relaxing there! So jealous…

I really like the place. I think I’d want to bring my Mom to this place and possibly celebrate a birthday or two there 🙂

  6. Casa Alegria looks a fab destination! Nothing beats a place with magnificent view 🙂 Makes you forget the stressful city life!

That’s a fantastic view!!!! I love heights, and the view from that pool is simply stunning. 🙂 I hope it has a heater though cause swimming in Tagaytay gives me chills especially in the morning haha

  8. The view is great. This a great spot to relax and the price is reasonable as well

  9. Seeing your featured photo makes me want to pack my bags and head south to Tagaytay! Casa Alegria is indeed one of the serene spots in Tagaytay with a magnificent views.
It’s okay too that the cellular data connection is weak so guests can enjoy their stay. Hope I can have my staycation there too. 🙂

  10. The place looks stunning! This would be a good family destination and I love that there’s no wifi, you can really have a good quality time with your loved ones here

  11. Just this week I was asking my friends for any good staycation options in Tagaytay. The timing for reading this article is just perfect! I love the pool and the views it offers. I’ll want to see more of the hotel’s menu though. Still, a good find all in all. 🙂 I’m gonna list this down in case we have the time to stay for a weekend in Tagaytay.

  12. The place looks really relaxing! Is the pool heated? I’d like to take a dip while having a magnificent view. Most of the time I can’t take advantage of dipping in the pool since most of the hotel’s in Tagaytay don’t have heated pools and it’s so cold hahaha!!! I particularly love the bed!

  13. The pictures look amazing.. great shots 🙂
I have never experienced a “bed and breakfast” service anywhere, as I always used to feel skeptical; but your experience here has given me some confidence now.. for one thing, if I were you, lazing in the pool taking a view of that volcano mountain; I would have painted a picture in my mind about it’s eruption 🙂

  14. Is it too far from the main Tagaytay Road? I’d like to treat my son here on his birthday come July 1. Do you have idea about their lean season rate?

  15. The pool looks inviting! I really love accomodations with a view. Glad for your post. ?

  16. I am planning to go to Tagaytay and stay for a day or two. Casa Alegria seems to be a perfect place to stay as I always want the bed and breakfast feature. 🙂

  17. The place is indeed remarkable, you did show the best of that place, though we’re not there but, you made it possible for us to experience through your beautiful pictures, great job, thanks for sharing, especially the rates as our reference

  18. What a charming place! I have been to Tagaytay a few times but never heard of Casa Alegria yet. I hope to visit soon and get invited as well. Hihi! Nice photos and review btw 🙂

  19. Uy Tagaytay so near us! Is this a new hotel? Looks super nice and well designed. I love places with minimal signal best for enjoying time with the family. Cheap rates and wjth free breakfast pa!

  20. I got the chance to experience Casa Alegria last year. But they don’t have a pool back then. Makes me want to schedule a Tagaytay get away with my husband soon!

  21. Wooow! This would be a great staycation place! I will definitely be looking into this when I will stay in tagaytay. The pools looks calming. And i think is a nice place to destress too! Thanks for the info!

  22. Thank you for giving your readers like me complete details of the place! I love best the infinity pool and the foods are quite delicious. Looking forward to visit this place soon!

  23. Such an up close and beautiful view there. I’ve been hearing about Casa Alegria and seems worth a stay with the whole family. I like that their family room includes breakfast for 4.

  24. Japanese style bed! I love it! We had our beds designed japanese style too but because of space, we couldn’t extend the sides of the bed. But anyhow, the food looks really yummy especially with the closeup look. The amenities of casa alegria looks really inviting and clean too so I wouldn’t have a problem recommending that to friends or families for a staycation.

  25. I am seriously envious of that pool with a view!!! What an amazing opportunity! I always love traveling to the places a little more off the beaten path too!

  27. This looks like a very relaxing bed & breakfast. The views are unbelievably priceless. This is a bed & breakfast I can actually stay at. Thanks for sharing such a lovely place.

  28. Both the interior and exterior looks beautiful. The rates are pretty reasonable with that kind of view! I know some bed & breakfast accommodation in Tagaytay which are more than 10K per night! I will definitely remember to consider them when we look for a place to stay in Tagaytay.
