MAPUA MALAYAN COLLEGES LAGUNA LAUNCHES GLOBAL CLASSROOMS CONNECTING ITS CAMPUS TO THE WORLD
As the world continues to embrace globalization, it has become increasingly important to equip students with the necessary tools to navigate the rapidly changing landscape of various industries. To address this need, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL) has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to introduce high-tech Global Classrooms, offering a borderless learning experience. As a member of the Mapúa University network, MMCL and this partnership are revolutionizing business and health science programs through essential learning pillars.
ASU stands among the top 1% of universities worldwide according to the Center for World University Rankings 2022-2023. It also ranks within the top 150 universities worldwide according to the Shanghai Ranking 2022. The latest US News & World Report online program rankings place ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business within the top 10 in the US, including the number one spot for online bachelor’s in business programs and the fourth spot for online bachelor’s program in psychology.
Mapúa University has earned a coveted position among the world’s best schools. Chris Hill, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Asia Pacific at Cintana, expressed delight in collaborating with Mapúa schools, which were chosen as the Philippine champions due to their long-standing reputation for innovation and academic excellence. Mapúa’s recent ranking as one of the top four Philippine universities, alongside UP, Ateneo, and La Salle, in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings further validates the quality of a Mapúan education.
These credentials, coupled with the shared commitment of both academic institutions towards transformative education, form the foundation of Mapúa MCL’s new business and health sciences programs. Dodjie Maestrecampo, President & CEO of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna and Mindanao, explains that Mapúa has long focused on delivering internationalized, digitally-enhanced, outcomes-based, research-driven education to its students, relying heavily on innovation to realize these plans. Collaborating with a global university will further enhance these plans by providing students with greater opportunities to learn. The ASU-enhanced curriculum remains faithful to Mapúa’s legacy, with the school of business emphasizing global immersion and real-world experiential learning, while the health sciences programs prioritize global readiness and advanced immersive facilities. In addition, both disciplines integrate digital mastery to align with the data-driven landscape of the world.
