Dr. Jason Bull seems to have gone through a change of heart after S2 cliffhanger
Brash and brilliant Dr. Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly) not only comes back alive after suffering from a massive heart attack on the Season 2 finale. He’s also looking like a whole new man as he goes straight back to work and ready for another bout of courtroom voir dire in the third season of Bull on Blue Ant Entertainment.
Towards the end of the last season, Dr. Bull fell into a downward spiral—drinking, overeating, missing out on sleep, and occasionally throwing out tantrums that would sour the confidence of the Trial Analysis Corporation team.
The new season, however, opens with a sleeker-looking man, without the unkempt hair, unshaven face, and the pounds around his waist and under his chin—signs of change from someone who only thinks about himself. Unfortunately, he returns to work facing a rather rich client, an insurance company being sued by a dying mother who was denied coverage for a liver transplant. Will the snarky Dr. Bull manage to choose the right thing not just for himself but also for his team?
It’s a decision that could make or break his return after almost losing the team’s confidence in the previous season due to his self-destructive decisions, especially when he found out that his ex-wife was remarrying. TAC’s second-in-command Marissa Morgan (Geneva Carr) couldn’t help but confront him: “I think you’re an amazing person, Jason, but I am tired of worrying about you, pitying you. I want to admire you again.”
He then tried patching things up—by taking on a risky death penalty case involving a mute man accused of rape, murder, and arson. The team didn’t share his enthusiasm and thought that he was being too impulsive when he took the case. No matter what they said, he trusted his guts—the way he had always done to do what was right for his team and clients.
Dr. Bull stood by his instincts and persuaded the team that there was hope not only for the case, but also for him to make things right again. In the end, they managed to uncover the tracks of the real perpetrator and prove their client’s innocence— not without a heavy toll on him that left viewers with bated breath.
Now Bull is back and in much better health—and more importantly, with more sensitive feelings. Could it be because he came face to face with his mortality? The entire TAC team is certainly happy seeing their boss back in business, but whether he’s become a changed man is another story.
Viewers will have to wait and see if Dr. Bull returns with a kinder disposition when he is enlisted by a big insurance company for a controversial case. The new season also puts the trial science expert Dr. Bull in the jury seat, serving his civic duty while working on a case to defend a woman accused of killing her daughter’s murderer in the next case.

BALIWAG, Bulacan- Bulakeños once again prove their skills in critical thinking and problem solving at the 13th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge (PSSC) Regional Elimination held recently at SM City Baliwag.
Spearheaded by Mathematics Trainers’ Guild, Philippines (MTG) with SM supermalls as one its partners, the competition aims to promote the number of puzzle among youth for developing their reasoning ability. Furthermore, to enhance the mental and critical skills of the students so that they can solve life’s problems effectively and offer an alternative to spending enjoyable, educational and productive past time.
With total of 168 participants from Bulacan, the competition was divided into five (5) categories according to age group—Under 8 for 8 years old and below, Under 10 for 9-10 years, Under 12 for 11-12 years old, Under 18 for 13-18 years old and Sudoku Grandmaster for college level and professionals. Overall, 34 schools and companies attended the competition.
Hailed as grand winners per categories are Rhaiyanna Raymundo of Akle Elementary School- Under 8; Graciela Steff Gabriel of Sabang Elementary School- Under 10; Rayner Gabriel Alcantara of Salambao Elementary School- Under 12; Mark Allen Mendoza of Sacred Heart Academy- Under 18; John Joseph Gabata of Ateneo de Manila University- Sudoku Grandmaster. The five will compete for the National Finals on November 24, 2018 at Skydome, SM City North Edsa, while the Asia Sudoku Championship, International competition will be held on January 25-26, 2019 at SM City Clark.

Mommies unite for an afternoon to support and promote breastfeeding
Breastfeeding may be considered a challenging phase of motherhood but the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of breastfeeding for mothers and babies truly make the journey worthwhile. While more and more mothers recognize that breastmilk will always be superior compared to formula milk, there is still a need to spread awareness on its benefits and to encourage people to support breastfeeding.
Dr. Anthony Calibo of the Department of Health presented the government’s efforts, and the issues and challenges of promoting breastfeeding in the Philippines.
In response to the global campaign of protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding, World Vision Development Foundation, in partnership with the Department of Health, launched Mother-Baby Friendly Philippines. This two-year project aims to:
Support and strengthen the implementation of Executive Order 51 (The Philippine Milk Code of 1986), Republic Act 7600 (The Rooming-In and Breastfeeding Act of 1992), and Republic Act 10028 (The Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009).
Increase awareness and educate health professionals and the public regarding these laws.
Encourage people to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding by involving them in monitoring the implementation of breastfeeding laws in the country.
Carleneth F. San Valentin answered all the questions of the curious mothers as she enlightened them about the laws for breastfeeding.
Carleneth F. San Valentin, Health and Nutrition Technical Programme Manager of World Vision Development Foundation, believes that encouraging mothers to nurture their child is a way to empower a mother’s ability to breastfeed and care for their child. “We are here to educate mothers so that they are empowered to make the right choice in nurturing and caring for their child. We want them to realize that if these laws are not implemented, we are impinging on their rights and of their child’s,” she shared.
Jun Godornes, Resource Development Director of World Vision Development Foundation, joined Erika Padilla as she officially signs her contract as World Vision Breastfeeding Ambassador.
According to Dr. Anthony P. Calibo of the Department of Health, this responsibility to uphold the breastfeeding rights of mothers is not just the responsibility of concerned organizations and government sectors; it is a responsibility of the general public. “If a mother is investing herself for the betterment of the future of her child, then she is also investing in the betterment of the future of this country,” he emphasized.
To stay true to their mission and vision for this project, the team conducted Mommy Forum: Mother-Baby Friendly Philippines last October 2, 2018 at Little Owl in New Manila. #MBFPH was graced by mom celebrities like Camille Prats Yambao, Jennica Garcia Uytingco and Erika Padilla.
Erika Padilla, World Vision Breastfeeding Ambassador, shared her breastfeeding journey. “It is a huge sacrifice. It is difficult, painful, and a lot of work. But definitely worth every single drop because I see my son getting stronger and healthier every day,” she recalled. Her story encouraged more moms to share and ask for more tips from Erika as well.
Rommel Fuerte, Executive Director of World Vision Development Foundation, reminds long-time moms and new moms the reason behind this gathering: the breastfeeding normalization is still a work in progress and it’s a must to constantly promote and protect breastfeeding to empower moms and to ensure a healthy start for their children.
