Leaders from over 30 visionary financial institutions gathered at the New World Hotel in Makati for Oradian’s first Community Summit to share experiences, know-how and global best practices in financial inclusion. More than 80 representatives of these financial institutions engaged in knowledge-sharing as well as celebrating their recent growth.
Driven by a shared vision, members of the Oradian Community provide individuals with access to financial services in the most remote areas of the Philippines. These institutions deliver financial services through Oradian’s platform Instafin, a cloud-based core banking system that enables efficiency and growth. The summit emphasized the digital transformation journey that Oradian offers and included an interactive knowledge building session with attending members.
The Oradian journey enables financial institutions to quickly go digital, reducing the need for costly manual processes and time-consuming administration, while building internal capability with hands-on training. “For us, customer success means ensuring customers achieve their desired outcomes using Oradian’s platform and services. Additionally, we empower financial institutions with methodology, knowledge and best practices to ensure the success of onboarding them to our platform. During the entire journey with our customers, we aim to predict changes in their environment by analyzing their business needs and to offer services that help them achieve their strategic goals.” commented Ivana Tomisic, Oradian’s Head of Global Account Management and Customer Support Lead.
At the summit, Oradian officially launched two of its recently designed Additional Services: the Instafin Field Officer App and Instafin Messaging. Oradian’s Field Officer App is built specifically for the needs of financial institutions’ field officers who travel to hard-to-reach areas to provide financial services. Instafin Messaging enables financial institutions to send messages directly and automatically to their clients detailing their account activity, which has been found to lead to stronger loan portfolio performance as a result of better relationship engagement with clients.
“Cloud banking is fast-tracking our ability to provide more financial services to underserved individuals. Our business has seen outstanding results, the main benefits being our increasing operational efficiency and the quality of our data. With Oradian’s Additional Services, our field officers save 70% of the time they used to spend collecting data manually. Since partnering with Oradian, we have been able to focus our resources on developing our core business.” stated Estrella Andres, Vice President of ASHI, who presented ASHI’s success story at the summit.
Earlier in February, Cantilan Bank, whose representatives also participated at Oradian’s Community Summit, became the Philippines’ first financial institution regulated by the Bangko Sentral NG Pilipinas (BSP) to leverage Oradian’s cloud banking system. Cantilan Bank’s pioneering of cloud-based technology was supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The successful partnership serves as a prime example for all participating financial institutions striving toward boosting financial inclusion and strengthening the community.
Within three years in the Philippines, Oradian has built a community of more than 45 visionary financial institutions in the Philippines who are embracing technology to reach the country’s bold financial inclusion targets and expand their client bases. Antonio Separovic, Co-founder and CEO of Oradian: “Since our start, our vision has been to go beyond offering software. In executing this vision, we have grown side by side with many of you through strategic projects, ongoing community partnerships and truly delivering financial inclusion.
In only four years, through our pioneering efforts, Oradian has established a dominant position in the market. Now, we are proud to be the first to provide cloud technology for a regulated bank in the Philippines. Together, we have grown rapidly and achieved outstanding results and we will leverage this success to continue increasing financial inclusion with our partners. Thank you for being part of the community.
” With a fully engaged audience of financial inclusion leaders, Oradian’s Community Summit enabled unprecedented knowledge sharing that will bring global best practices to underserved communities throughout rural provinces

Fresh from her stint at the Asia’s Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 6, where she finished in the top three, Adela Mae Marshall is set to conquer the beauty world as the newest face of Careline, the trendy and edgy cosmetics line of Ever Bilena for Filipina youth.
“It is so exciting! Careline is a brand that I am very familiar with. I am so happy to be working with a very popular brand that has been helping women my age to express themselves through makeup,” Adela on being the newest endorser of the brand.
This fresh-faced beauty shares that she has picked a lot of lessons in joining various modelling contest. And if there is one thing she learned from joining the ANTM Cycle 6, it is that self-care and discipline must always be prioritized, “It was a very stressful environment. I was always nervous, so I needed to learn to discipline myself. I realized I should not rely on other people to make me look good, that it is my responsibility also.”
On her skin-care routine, she shares that being diligent in washing your face and removing your makeup is important in maintaning a good complexion. The young model also believes that a healthy lifestyle through exercise and drinking a lot of water is essential to having a healthy, clear skin.
As for her favorite makeup products, Adela prefers products that can multi-task so she can use it in different ways. “I am quite oily so I always need to have a powder, it doesn’t necessary to be colored it just need to blot the oil. And because I am really pale I like to keep a blush and a lipstick but if I have a small bag, I want something that can double up which is why the Careline Multisticks, especially the Rose Multistick, are perfect.”
Although she may portray different personalities in her career, she wants to be remembered by one thing – to be yourself. Adela is lucky to have Careline by her side!

Leading Pinoy restaurant chain Mang Inasal has recently produced a thought-provoking, bittersweet digital short film. Helmed by ace director Dan Villegas, the Mang Inasal digital film stars versatile actors and onscreen partners Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban.
In the three-minute digital short, Mang Inasal and its creative agency DDB Philippines wanted to capture a very contemporary view on romance and relationships – in a way that only Villegas and “CarGel” can deliver spot on.
Dubbed #SolbAngBuhay, the CarGel video ushers viewers to the affectionate relationship between the characters portrayed by Carlo and Angelica. Both are happy and fulfilled by being together and are completely “solb” (fully satisfied) with the life they share.
The first half of the video showcases the engaging chemistry of the couple as portrayed by CarGel, including their most kilig moments – playfully washing the dishes, texting sweet messages to each other, and sharing their love for Mang Inasal Chicken Inasal. Their characters express what they think about each other, and how one cannot live without the other.
The popular song, “Sana,” of folk artist, I Belong to the Zoo, complements the digital film’s romantic narrative, specially as the couple is shown having a misunderstanding, with Carlo trying his best to comfort a crying Angelica. They part ways, in tears. This is followed by a montage of the characters doing their favorite things by themselves. The twist at the end lays the truth that the two are no longer together.
But even with a tinge of sadness, the couple still manage to be happy. As the two are shown eating in a Mang Inasal store by their lonesome, a loving moment that they used to share together, they seem to be contented eating alone by themselves.
This is where Mang Inasal’s self-assuring message that “one can still be happy regardless of one’s relationship status.” In reality, relationships end even between two people who seem to be perfect for each other. And when it does, the important thing is to know that life does not end there. People will eventually be okay, and that it is okay to be single, that it is okay to love yourself.
The closing line goes: “Kahit single, in a relationship, or it’s complicated, solb pa rin ang buhay ‘di ba? (Whether you’re single, in a relationship, or ‘it’s complicated, you can still enjoy life to the fullest).”
“The film feels very real, as everyone does experience heartbreak once in a while. It’s our post-Valentine treat to our customers and CarGel fans, where we want to show the other side of love, where you don’t have to be in a relationship with anybody to be happy. We want to tell everyone that there is such a thing called ‘self-love,’ and this is the most potent of all kinds of love. It inspires one to discover happiness within, against trying to find it in someone else,” said Mang Inasal Marketing Director Michael Dumaual.
The digital short is a reunion for Angelica, Carlo and Direk Dan, coming off from the highly successful romantic drama “Exes Baggage.”
During the 90s, Carlo and Angelica were child stars who made names for themselves for their superb acting and talent. They were paired in many television shows and films until they became real life lovers. The two eventually ended their relationship and went their separate ways, pursuing their own careers in showbiz. But Exes Baggage reignited the comeback of the CarGel loveteam. To date, many fans still root for the couple, who now star in ABS-CBN’s “Playhouse.”
With this digital film’s release last February 25, Dan Villegas continues his streak of tearjerkers like “Never Not Love You,” “All of You,” and “The Breakup Playlist.” Villegas was the award-winning force behind “Hintayan ng Langit” and highly successful TV drama series “On The Wings of Love” and “Till I Met You.”
